No other zoo or aquarium in the country currently features the Scioto River! This local waterway is a rare urban river ecosystem that flows directly through our growing region that features some overlooked but impressive species like the paddlefish and sturgeon.
The Open Ocean gallery will be the largest aquarium habitat in Ohio, offering guests a view into one of the ocean’s most captivating ecosystems – the Tongue of the Ocean – where vibrant shallow reefs transition into the mysterious deep-ocean abyss.
